Trisha was our amazing doula for the birth of our son. He was born at home on September 23, 2009. She spent as much time as we needed before-hand making sure that we were prepared and educated. She also took time to put together a special class for our moms since they would be present during the entire process. These classes helped us all feel so much more confident about the whole process.

At about 3:00am on September 23 we called Trisha to come over because I was having contractions and they were getting harder to manage on my own. She came right over and never left my side until he was born at 8:56pm that night! She was constantly making sure that I had everything I needed- making me food, getting me water, etc. With every contraction she was there to help me through it. I know that if Trisha wasn’t there, my labor would have been so much harder. We were all so thankful to have her there!

I am still so amazed at Trisha’s work. She is so good at what she does. I truly believe it is her calling to be a doula and help women do what their bodies are made to do. I would highly recommend her to anyone in a heart beat!

From the very first time I talked to Trisha, I knew I had found someone special. She was the only doula I called that actually answered the phone when I called (all the others had to call me back). That responsiveness impressed me from the start and she never waivered from that kind of commitment throughout my whole pregnancy and beyond. More than that though Trisha was kind and an empathetic listener on the phone. I felt instantly calmed by her demeanor and her aura of capability. She invests everything she has into her clients. She is honest, sweet, and overall wonderful. If you have come across her name you are truly fortunate- you will not find a better doula.

The classes we took with her were terrific because she went through the material at a pace and in a style uniquely tailored to us. We were never bored or put out by having a birthing class, rather it was more like a meeting between friends in which we happened to get a lot of information! She is very flexible and allowed us to have the classes on different days and times when we could fit them in. My husband could never have attended all the classes with me but for that since he works very demanding hours. Trisha was always very prepared and gave us lots of workbooks and handouts that we could refer to later. Of course if we couldn't find something we could call or email her any time. I once got an email back from her at 3am!

My goal was to birth naturally and I truly couldn't have done it without Trisha. My labor started fast and furious with contractions every three minutes apart. Trisha was the first phone call I made. She kept me calm through early labor despite my frequent contractions. She arrived at the hospital before we got there. She called us to gauge timing and went to labor and delivery to advise them of our imminent arrival and then came to meet us in the parking lot. She stayed by my side the entire labor. She massaged, hugged, held my hair, and numerous other things for 12 long hours without one word of complaint. She was completely respectful of my wishes. She listened to me when I talked about the epidural when I didn't think I could do it anymore and didn't judge and then was equally nonjudgmental when the anesthesiologist got there and I sent him away. She didn't judge one bit of my weaknesses, screams, curse, stubbornness to change position, or the various other things women are prone to in labor. She had a million suggestions for things I could try and she knew when I was ready to listen to them. She never pushed me but let me make my own way while holding my hand and staying with me through every difficult step. Labor was worse than I imagined but Trisha was better! She even made me laugh when I was at a 9.5. I am so very grateful Trisha was there and any woman would be incredibly lucky to have her attend their birth.

I would recommend Trisha wholeheartedly. There is simply no better investment that you could make.

We found Trisha on-line and could not be happier with our choice for a Doula! Trisha also gave us childbirth classes and presented the material in a very relaxed and informal nature. The best things about the classes were, that they were in our house and on our schedule, not at the hospital with several other people, and only when the hospital offered them. The knowledge that we gained from the childbirth classes allowed us to manage my labor at home for as long as possible. The pamphlets and handouts she gave us in the class also provided a wealth of information to help us in laboring at home. The day our son was born, I called Trisha several times for re-assurance, and to answer some questions about how I was feeling. When it came time for the birth, Trisha was right there by my side helping me through the contractions, and helping my husband keep me calm. I know my husband really appreciated having someone to help keep him calm, and guide us through the process. We have also taken the "Happiest Baby on the Block" class from Trisha and highly recommend this class, whether you are a first time parent, or not, the information in this class can help you manage the fussiest baby. When we decide to have our next child Trisha will be the only Doula we call!

Before I met Trisha I thought a doula was someone who could act as a friend during the birth of the baby. Wow I was wrong. I learned so much as did my husband. There is so much that we thought we knew that we didn't. She was available when I needed her to answer my questions to help me confront me fears and to help give me the confidence to aim for the birthing experience I wanted. Her classes are very informative, leaps and bounds better than the hospital given classes I've taken in the past. She let me make my decisions during the birth. She never pushed her birth preferences- everything was about what made me comfortable and what I wanted. During my sons birth I had my husband, a friend and Trisha there. It was perfect. Without Trisha there I would have been a lot more panicky, clueless and scared.

I can honestly say that having a doula is a definite must for me from now on. Trisha is not only a friend now and a major help during the birth for me - she was also a comfort to my husband and friend as well.  As far as doula’s go, I strongly believe she is the best.

I want to take a moment to say how wonderful Trisha has been as our doula and go-to girl during my pregnancy. As a first time mom, her advice and gentle manner were invaluable. She has been there to answer any questions that we've had and has gone above and beyond many times to make sure that our questions were answered and any concerns that we had were addressed. She was such a comfort to have with us during the birth as well. She came prepared for any comfort measures that I could have needed and was a soothing and relaxing presence throughout the process. Her vast knowledge and experience, and ability to find any information that she may not have right off hand truly helped and eased my mind from the day we met her onward. I strongly recommend her services to any mother or couple who is looking for the support of a fantastic doula. I really can't say enough great things about her.

Trisha is an excellent doula. She is patient and supportive and brings a calming presence to a birth.   She was here with me the birth of my first child; I don't know that I would have been able to have a successful homebirth without her.  I look forward to having her with me again if I am blessed with another child.  She gave me a kind of support that only another woman can...a woman who has "been there" before.  My husband also really appreciated her being here and never felt like he was pushed aside.
