As a first-time Mom with so much to learn, Trisha was an excellent instructor and resource for a very important time in my family's life. From the labor process and pain management to newborn care and breastfeeding, Trisha offered a more natural perspective on these topics than just what modern medicine teaches us today. It was great to hear both what my Doctor advised and Trisha's experience being a Doula and Certified Childbirth Educator to allow my husband and I to make informed decisions about our birth plan. I would recommend Trisha to anyone interested in being fully prepared for labor, first time or not. Having her come to our home was great and allowed my husband and I to ask the questions we may not ask in a room full of 20 strangers. Thank you Trisha for preparing us for such an important event! -Dawn and Will Hoverson

Trisha’s private birth education class was the perfect solution for us! Although we consider ourselves to be fairly well-educated in general, we were completely naive when it comes to childbirth and parenting. Trisha allowed us to tailor the class around our own information needs and taught us newborns-for-dummies as well as the more advanced, research-based pros and cons of childbirth approaches. She was always professional and pleasant, and genuinely appeared to enjoy what she does. Plus, the private setting of the classes allowed us to ask a lot of questions specific to our own situation. By the end of the class, my husband and I were in wonderful agreement regarding our birth plan, breastfeeding, and care of our infant, but without Trisha’s class, I sincerely doubt we would have made such progress! Thank you!

Trish was great!!! My husband and I highly recommend her! With our first baby due 9/22/09, we selected Trish as our childbirth educator. With my husband and I living a very busy corporate lifestyle, it was very beneficial to have Trish come to our home. Trish always arrived on time. She’s very knowledgeable in all areas of pregnancy, and she addressed all of our concerns. She covered each trimester, the “what if’s” and helped us develop a birth plan. She instructed my husband how to assist me throughout the pregnancy and while I’m in labor. Each session only lasted about 2 hours which is a lot better than sitting in a classroom at the hospital all day. By breaking the class into sessions, it gave us time to digest the information and ask questions during our next session. She’ll also make herself available should you ever have any pressing questions that just cannot wait. We'd hire her again in a heartbeat!

I am so glad that my husband and I took classes with Trisha instead of the hospital. The 1-on-1 class made it easier to ask questions and the information really prepared us for labor and birth. Armed with knowledge, we were able to make informed decisions for ourselves and our child. Childbirth can seem so daunting, but with the right tools, we felt like we were ready for it.
I recommend these classes to all my friends because I think they are the best thing that someone can do to prepare for labor, birth, and the first stages of parenthood. I know that Trisha's instruction was a major factor in helping me have a safe, healthy birth and a happy, healthy baby,

As first time parents, we used Trisha as our teacher for our birth preparation classes, and could not have been more thrilled. She has such a vast array or knowledge and information. We truly felt educated and prepared for the process by the end of the pregnancy. Each class was well organized and filled with valuable information. And she was fantastic at stopping to address any questions or concerns that came up (even the ones that may have seemed silly or obvious). Her experience with her own kids, as well as the number or births that she has attended made us feel very comfortable with her knowledge base. And her manner and patience are unmatched. She did the classes here in the comfort of our own home, and always went out of her way to work with our crazy schedules. I am very glad that we found Trisha and am happy to call her a friend as well as teacher. We've recommended her to other mom's since we found her, and I strongly recommend her to you as well.

I would recommend your class to anyone. I think it is more informative than a traditional hospital class. I think pregnant or not, people should take this class, just so they can be informed!! ~E.F.

“What did I enjoy most about this course?”
The ability to ask questions freely - this was the #1 advantage of taking these classes! I made sure all my concerns were addressed without being the annoying question person in class
